The mounting bars should be cut equally on the ends to make the needed length.
1. The middle of the mounting bars have a cutout that's meant to allow the flue and fireplace to level itself out.
2. Cut the ends of the mounting bars the same amount to reach the needed length.
3. Do not cut 1 mounting bar for use for both sides.
