Yes.
1. Fresh air intakes are required for all Focus fireplaces.
2. Fresh air intakes allow the fireplace to pull air to fuel the fire and forces CO out through the flue.
3. Fresh air intakes need to be a minimum of 31 square inches.
4. The recommended best place for the fresh air intake is directly beneath the fireplace but is required to be in the same room as the fireplace.
