EV - How to connect the E-Cloud APP (WIFI models) to the Halo fireplaces

Carefully follow the directions below

Follow this link for the video from Evonic on how to pair the E-Smart Cloud APP, which can be downloaded from the APP store, to the fireplace. I would recommend watching the entire video from start to finish before moving forward.

This fireplace will only work on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, the router might have both so be sure that the correct frequency is chosen.

With the fireplace turn on at the rocker switch and the APP on the device but force closed, connect to the fireplace using WIFI settings on your device.  You are looking for the WIFI from the fireplace so it should be an obvious name; Electric FP or Halo Kiruna (model name).  If you still can’t figure out which one it is,  turn the fireplace off with the rocker switch to see if a device is dropped from the WIFI list.  Then choose this device when the fireplace is turned back using the rocker switch.  At this point, the E-Smart Cloud APP is connected to the fireplace only.

Now connect the fireplace, via the router in the house.  First turn on the E-Smart Cloud APP, go to settings using the gear icon and follow the instructions below.

Please have the WIFI name and password on hand. Below are some additional suggestions during set-up;

  • When registering your e-mail and password, make a point of writing these down in the manual for future reference They will be needed a second time.
  • Once you have entered the Wi-Fi network name and password, please make sure that ‘Set Static IP' is NOT already selected.
  • Hit ‘Save and Connect’. Next, you'll see ‘Redirect’ then ‘Please close this app’, if you don't see that message within 2 minutes then Force Close the APP from your device by swiping up and away.
  • Now switch the fireplace off at the rocker switch, and count a full 3 seconds before turning it on again. Only after the fireplace is back on should you reopen the APP.
  • If you have a remote control, you may need to ensure that ‘Enable Remote Control’ on the APP is engaged.
  • From here you will be asked to enter in the email and password combination one last time to verify what your earlier entry. Going forward you will not be asked for a password.

Please have the Evonic Installation manual available to review the E-Smart Cloud APP features. These manuals are also available on-line in the Evonic section our website.

Simply choose the model and download the installation manual, the E-Smart controls are located at the bottom of the page.
