Focus wood burning fireplaces are EPA exempt but do not meet the state requirements of WA or CA.
1. CA has banned any new permanent wood burning fireplaces.
2. WA has set the standard for wood burning fireplaces to 7.5 grams of 2.5-micron particulate (PM2.5) per hour (g/hr) according to codes: RCW 70.94.457 and WAC 173-433-100. Focus wood burning fireplaces do not meet these standards.
