The damper is located on the vent pipe itself
The Paxfocus damper has four positions:
- When the handle is vertical the damper is fully opened
- Handle can rotate 30°, 60° and 90° (Horizontal = Closed)
To modify the damper position, first pull the handle, then rotate and push to lock on the preset position
The damper position must be adapted to the fire intensity
- Fully open damper open during lighting
- Adjust damper to reduce exhaust flow so heat will be optimum
- If smoke spills out of the fireplace, open the damper more
CAUTION - VERY HOT !!
