# HVF - Heat Shield

## A heat shield can deflect the heat away from the wall face

1\. Heat from the HVF fireplace will come out from the top opening and run up the face of the wall. 

2\. Using a heat shield can help deflect the heat out into the room and help reduce the heat that hits the wall face.
